Chocolate and vanilla pinwheels striped cookies
(Russian: Zebra, Ylitki pechen’e)
The ingredients are so plain and basic, nothing fancy or exotic required, just regular butter, sugar, flour, eggs, vanilla and almonds. When combined, the flavor is just absolutely wonderful. Really, nothing beats homemade. Have one cookie, or two, or three, or four with a cold glass of milk and you’re good to go.
These fun cookies, with their spirals of chocolate and vanilla dough, are perfect for Christmas or parties.
185g butter (Make sure the butter is at room temperature)
185g caster sugar
3-4 drops vanilla essence
560g Self-raising flour
50g almonds, crushed
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
