Keeping them in aluminum or copper containers would likely prevent them from any damage from EMP. Using galvanized metal trash that is layered with thick cardboard can also be a useful protection against EMP.
An interesting way of protecting your electronic devices from EMP and electrical interference is by using EMP resistant bags known as Faraday bags. The concept of Faraday containers began with the idea of protecting essential devices such as laptops, tablet computers and phones from the effects of EMP, and now using EMP resistant bags, hence the name Faraday bags. Getting this kind of bag would seem rather odd and silly but we may never know when an EMP calamity would befall everyone. It is always better to be one step ahead of the rest by being prepared with a Faraday bag.
