Pastry Chef Tandra Watkins is an amazing talent, and so much fun to work with.
Given the available space, limited amount of time that Chef Tandra has, as well as the fairly consistent number of segments that we produce, this is a fairly simple setup, regarding the shooting and editing process.
One horizontal Kino four-by four-bank, a wireless lav on Chef, camera, sticks, and that’s it.
We shoot it twice: once with a locked-down medium wideshot for her VO/SOT portions, and again for all of the cutaways.
Very simple. Takes about 30 minutes per segment–A lot of that encompasses actual cooking time.
