Take your palate on a tasty journey to Kenya, a melting pot capital known for fusion of culinary cuisines.
I’m going to show you how to make 3 delectable dishes that pair very well with each other or made separately as sides.
We will be making: Beef Samosas (Savory Beef Pastry), Maharagwe (Spiced Coconut Bean Soup), and Kachumbari (Tomato and Onion Salad)
One of the recipes I will be highlighting is a Samosa. A Samosas is a fried pastry with a savoury filling, such as spiced potatoes, onions, peas, beef, chicken or other meats and sometimes cheese, or lentils.
It may take different forms, including triangular, cone, or half-moon shapes, depending on the region.
A variation of a samosa can be found in many cultures in the world, from meat pies, pastelitos, Jamaican patties or dumplings.
What is the variation from your culture? Make the pastry and share with us!
